Recent Events: April 2010 16th annual HBCU Tour - On April 5th 47 students and 5 chaperones departed Deptford Mall enroute to Cheyney, Lincoln, Delaware State, Morgan State, Bowie State, and Howard Universities lead by Brothers Chad D. King, Naran Butler-Houck, and Kenneth C. King was honored by the State Troopers of New Jersey for the pretigious Trooper Sullivan Award for exceptional community service in support of Guide Right and the annual Historial Black College/University (HBCU) tour. The attached picture represents this service event included are Brothers Northeast Province Nominating Chairman Richard W. King, Jr, Polemarch Mark A. Lewis, Northeast Province Polemarch Paul H. Huggins, Vice Polemarch (Honoree) Trooper Chad D. King, Foundation President Ronald C. Thomas. 19 September - Brothers of Burl-Cam attended the annual Urban League New York City Classic (Whitney Young Classic) HBCU Football game at Giants/Jets Stadium at the Meadowlands East Rutherford, NJ. 15 Kappa Leaguers were brought along to expose them to male bonding and mentorship. The following picture shows not only brothers of Burl-Cam, in addition to several brothers from the Northeast Province including our Province Polemarch Paul H. Huggins. 01 November - Annual Salute to African American Women Achievers. More to following. 08 November - Brothers church visitation lead by Brother Dr. Will Maddox, visiting Evergreen Baptist Church in honor of Brother Decon Richard W. King, Jr.09 EBC Picture. 14 November - The Brothers lead by Dr. Will Maddox, Jr.and the Kappa Leaguers joined with the New Jersey Tree Foundation in an effort make Camden a "little greener." We meet at 8:30 A.M. at the corner of Jackson and Norris Sts. in Camden, on Saturday, Nov. 14th. The following pictures are from this service project. 21 November - 2009 Thanksgiving Basket Drive with the sisters of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. The Brothers of Burl-Cam lead by Civic Action Chair Marcus Christmas and assisted by 20 Kappa Leaguers, helped prepare the total of 90 baskets and make deliveries to families throughout the community. Brothers of Burl-Cam identified 20 families who also received baskets. The following are a few pictures from this service project. Picture#1
